About the OpportunityThe Integrated Product Support (IPS) Engineering Lead provides technical leadership of the shipbuilding IPS Engineering Team and serves as the principal advisor to the Product Support Manager (PSM) and Program Manager (PM) for IPS engineering disciplines - Design Interface, Sustaining Engineering, and Maintenance Planning and Management. The role is technically accountable to the Enterprise IPS Engineering Manager, ensuring rigorous integration across IPS Engineering elements so the Mission System is supportable, maintainable, testable, and cost effective through introduction into service and transition to sustainment. The IPS Engineering Lead directs the development and assurance of supportability requirements, RAM (Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) rationale; orchestrates multi-disciplinary engineering, logistics, and test teams; manages the development of maintenance procedures and assures their alignment to Operational and mission readiness requirements. You’ll Need 

Essentials 

  • Degree (AQF Level 7 or higher) in Systems Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical,
  • Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering, or closely related discipline; eligibility for professional membership/charter (e.g., Engineers Australia). 
  • Demonstrated experience leading IPS/ILS engineering on maritime/shipbuilding or other complex Defence program
